Concept of Friction is a phenomenon most of us have read during our schooling. Whenever two objects contact, there is friction. What happens when there is friction, there is resistance, there is heat generated and there is energy loss. Basically the overall output gets reduced by some % depending on the nature of friction etc.
To overcome the factor of friction, and make travel faster, less energy consuming, we saw trains with Super conductor technology launched. As per theory , the wheels wouldn’t touch the rails (in fact there would be no wheels at all). The train would levitate and move forward. Am not tracking on the most recent advancements in this field, but the results were astonishing, in terms of the speeds these vehicles could achieve. I am sure if we go a bit deeper into the energy saved etc, we could find more details. Thats not the point of this article. Friction happens all the time, in all places, example, say water flowing through pipelines, car moving etc etc.
Now how does this apply to a Business? Friction occurs within a business as well. Where? You don’t have to look far for an answer. Wherever you see two entities working together, there is friction. These entities could be people, departments, systems, or any other ‘hand shake’ that happens to bring a product into the market. Or even while a product gets exchanged between a company and a customer. Friction could happen even after that as well, for example due to quality or service issues etc.
Interestingly, all these friction add up (I am not exactly sure on the mathematical formula, but I am sure you understand). Simple example, lets say within department there are 10 people. Now there is friction between all of these people. When this Department interacts with another department, there is friction. Now you see where it is going.
These frictions cause enormous damage to a business. In terms of mis communication, delays, re-works, lost effort, lost time, etc. Businesses provide things like money back guarantees, free service etc to minimize the friction, especially on the customer side.
Why does friction occur at all? Thats a good question. But as the legendary Philosopher Jim Rohn says, I wouldn’t ask that question. Its just the nature of people working together. Even if the product is perfect, Friction is bound to happen. What amplifies it? Could be many things. No proper systems, poor decision making process, no proper communication flow, egos, conflicts etc.
Unfortunately many businesses and owners don’t realize the detrimental effect of the friction and how much it can eat up into the Sales, profit margins , cash flows etc.
Can you imagine the benefits a Business could accrue if we can somehow find a way to eliminate or minimize friction? Huge, immense.
Now how do we achieve this?
CashOS may have an answer for that. Lets connect to discuss further..

There were a couple of books and theories which spoke about Failing fast to succeed. The idea is kind of goes back to the Closed loop mechanisms which many engineers would have studied in the Control Systems subject. (Its been more than 2 decades..time flies so fast)…
Basically what it says is (pardon me techie folks…there could be a few who may not know about this)…that when there is a feedback that is taken from the output of an action (which in other words is the learning) and applied to the input, then the resultant output would be closer to the desired goal.
For example, lets say you are aiming a rifle in a shooting range. Let’s say your first shot went way off to the right. The next time, all you need to do is to make a small adjustment to the left, so you at least hit the board. The next one would need another small adjustment and so on. Eventually you will end up hitting the bulls eye.
Now there are other angles to it, such as the shaking of hands, sweatiness, etc which play a role, but we are not talking about competing in Olympics. So a bit of improvement should be fine. Which is what majority of the people are looking for either in their lives or Business.
The key here is to keep the feedback loop fast. Imagine you take a shot today and you come back for the next shot next week or next month. You would have lost the ‘physical memory’ of the last shot, which means you would have to start all over again.
Same way what can businesses do to hit the target consistently and sustainably? There are two things which are key. 1) Feedback 2) Action. Without either of these, don’t expect any magic to happen.
So how do you achieve the feedback systems in your business?
CashOS can help you there. Are you ready to take the action?

Are you having Stock market shivers!!!
Read this.
Most of the listed companies fret every quarter when they have to release their financials to the public.
Many executives lose sleep over how to manage the market expectations without the stock getting
affected, how to respond to share holders etc.
When the companies are naturally growing, then these are not a problem. Challenge arises when the
economy is not doing so well, competition is tight, everyone fighting to get a bit more or market space.
In most of the cases, this will lead to margin erosion as companies tend to pass on any available margins
to the channel and the market.
Have you ever thought of a situation where whatever the market condition, your company is doing well.
Much better than the competition?
Hows this possible?
Let’s take the example of a student. A normal student. (I am sure many of those who are reading this
blog would have young kids or have passed through the phase). Typically most parents are so busy with
their own lives and careers they have very little time for their kids.
Now lets say the parents want the kid to excel in studies. Now we are not talking about the genius
levels. We are talking about what any normal kid can aspire and achieve. How can that kid excel in
studies? May be at the top or near the top of the class? More importantly understanding the subject he
/ she is studying.
Typically the schools have regular tests to evaluate the students. And these are once in a term or
quarter or say once a month. After which there is the PTM, which many parents eagerly wait to hear
feedback about their kid.
Would such a system be effective in helping the kid achieve the desired results. I am not sure. But let’s
say there is a feedback mechanism on a daily basis? How? May be surprise tests? A quick 3 minute test
at the end of each class? Doesn’t take much time right?
Imagine what this would do for a student. Even the most average student realizes that he / she needs to
stay attentive during the class, so they can score in the test. Now if there is some kind of recognition of
those who have scored well, then this could provide an even stronger incentive to perform better. More
importantly, this provides an opportunity for the kid to keep improving on a daily basis. Because they
see their scores daily.
Is this possible? Very much. Is it difficult? Not at all.
Just a bit of creative thinking.
Now how is this related to your stock share market performance? Imagine we apply the same to your
business as well. You get real time data of each and every part of your business. Your employees see
their own dashboards everyday.
Very soon your company will be beating the stock market by a long distance.
Want to know how you can achieve such results. Reach out to us at info@cashos.com

Many business owners and leaders understand the power of data in running a business. This is reflected in the investments businesses have been making in cutting edge technology tools.
However, this is only a small percentage of the total business community. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the business people are still yet to embrace the power of technology. Mostly out of complacency or ignorance.
Let’s see how Data can help a business:
1) It will help gather intelligence about the business
a. Basically to understand who, what, when, where, how of the business
b. A simple analogy is the Health checkups. Usually, it is advised to get a Health checkup done every year, especially if you are above 40. Question is, when was the last time you got your health check up done?
c. At least this would give an indication of what is right and what is wrong. More importantly, this gives an opportunity for taking a corrective course of action.
d. Isn’t this much better than being in a situation where the health situation is irreversible? Or there is nothing you could do, even if you wanted to?
2) It will help to analyze your Suppliers, Customers, Employees, Markets etc
a. As mentioned in the earlier point, the better the quality and real-time data you have, the better off you are.
b. It may not change the status, but more importantly, it will give you time to make those small corrections so you can avoid more drastic problems down the line.
3) It will help you to predict
a. Let’s say you are 10 kilos overweight, no exercise, bad food habits, worse lifestyle. To find out these itself it probably the best thing that could happen.
b. If you continue down the same path, you don’t need a doctor to tell you what may happen. It’s just a matter of when.
c. Similarly, if you have the data in hand, you can predict things far more accurately. It could be your sales, profits or supplies or anything else.
Now imagine the kind of control you can have on your health if you were getting real-time inputs!!!
Still in doubt? Its better late than never. Get control of YOUR BUSINESS!!! More importantly get your Health Check up done TODAY, if you have been postponing it. That’s probably the best gift you can give to yourself and your family. Most importantly..you may have all the data in the world. Unless you act, neither your health nor your business can be healthy!!!
Wondering how you can control your Business? How you can access real-time data? Reach out to us at info@cashos.com
